It’s finally here! The update that we’ve been working on for a long time, been talking about here and there, and something that we’re very excited about, is finally here. We want to thank our entire community for all of the support over the past couple months, and we’re especially thankful for all the great feedback we’ve received in the past few days. Thank you!
We’re still tackling the various bugs that have bee introduced with this update, so rest assured that we will be fixing them over this week. You can also expect more blog articles about the various features and new pages, videos, a GamerDNA Townhall, and more updates to the site in the month of September. There is no rest for the wicked!
Update Notes:
New GamerDNA Member Homepage

The new GamerDNA Member Home (Click Me!)
- Revamped and redesigned the entire Member Home. The new Member Home is completely contextualized to your GamerDNA.
- Added a new proactive Alert System to let you know when things happen to your GamerDNA. This can include a new game activity, someone commenting on content that you’re subscribed to, you’ve gained a new follower, and other things.
- Redesigned Game Play calendar to make it smaller – Now includes 7-day and 30-day views.
- Added new Spotlight Feature, a feature that suggests new community content, games, and other community members, based on your gamerDNA. By default you receive 5 new Spotlights a day, but you can receive 10 if you consume all 5.

GamerDNA Spotlight Examples (Click Me!)
- Added new Games Gadget, a feature that rolls up what everyone is playing and interested in. This is filterable by gaming platform, as well as by your Friends.
- Added new Real-time gamerCURRENT, a feature that gives you a real-time feed of content from the gamerDNA members and games that you are currently following. Content can include comments, game posts, game activities, and videos from gamerDNA partners.
- Added Presence Gadget, a feature that will show you a real-time monitor of what your friends are playing on Xbox Live, Xfire and Steam — or the last game that was played on the gamerDNA supported gaming networks or manually entered game activity.
New GamerDNA Profile

New gamerDNA Profile (Click Me!)
Example Profile Page: http://QforQ.gamerDNA.com
- The profile now has several tabs, which makes the page much more organized and easier to read.
- GamerDNA now has a Follow System, instead of a Friend System. You can now Follow People, and they don’t necessarily have to follow you back.
- Profiles now have new themes that can be selected by the gamerDNA member who owns the profile.
- Top of the Profile features your Status, which you can now Update AND comment on.
- Your profile now shows the games that you have played most recently and offers other sorting methods.
- Profile now shows your gamerCURRENT, along with your calendar, fame, and follower/follow counts.
- Other pages on the profile include a newly designed Game Page, individual pages for each game you played, Gamer Bio page, and Media Page.

Profile Media Page (Click me!)
- Media pages now include integration with Twitter, Facebook, FriendFeed, and Tumblr, which enables you to update those sites directly from the page without leaving GamerDNA.
Other Stuff:
- GamerDNA now has a Jumpstart Wizard which imports games from Xfire, Steam, Xbox Live, and PlayStation Network. The wizard also suggests users that you should follow based on your game interests or your friends on Xfire and Steam.
- GamerDNA now supports PlayStation Network by importing your trophies. For more information on this, please see our FAQ: http://gsfn.us/t/c9dd
- GamerDNA is now totally redesigned with a lighter color theme.
- Just like other gamerDNA members, you can now Follow games to subscribe to the content from the community around that game.
- And many other bug fixes and small changes.
This was a huge build for us, and we thank everyone for their patience and support. We will be updating the blog over the coming days/weeks with more How-To’s, videos, contests and other things. Stay tuned!
Thanks,
Sam “QforQ” Houston and the rest of the GamerDNA Team.
