Daily Game: Boktai: The Sun is in Your Hand

Watch out Edward, keep your eyes peeled Jacob, because here come Django: An undead monster hunter and star of Boktai: The Sun is in Your Hand. This game is actually very pretty and well made in spite of being a GBA title. The story is amazing too.

You start the game in a world that has been almost completely overrun by evil forces and undead minions. There are no people to be found anywhere and the atmosphere is dark and dreary. Upon coming to terms with being essentially the last truly living and breathing being on earth, you meet a sunflower named Master Ortenko. This sunflower bestows upon you a weapon called the Gun Del Sol. This gun shoots concentrated blasts of sunlight among other things, and has the ability to initially stun and eventually kill enemies. To make the gun (and game) even cooler, you charge your gun with a solar sensor on your game card. Yeah, how many other games use a freaking solar sensor? The game has a dungeon or temple system if you will where there is a large area with many floors and a boss at the end. Upon beating the boss you must drag him out of the castle and purify him using the Pile Driver. Don't let go of your defeated boss though, he will run back to the boss room and force you to challenge him again.

Overall this game is a total win and worth finding and playing. I played this game so much one summer that I ended up having a sunburn on the tip of my nose, my knee caps, and my wrists and thumbs. Totally addicting.
