If you have ever played a game on PC and then on console you can clearly see the difference between the two. More frames per second and higher texture resolutions make the PC a great system for gaming but at a much higher price than their console counterparts. When we have seen gameplay footage of Battlefield 3 it has always been from a PC, that is until now. IGN got their hands on battlefield 3 for PS3 and this is what they have to say on the subject matter–
— "Battle remains intense on the console, and the action fun. As expected, Battlefield 3 on PS3 doesn't look as good as its PC counterpart — but it was surprising to see the degree of difference between the versions."
Its been confirmed that Battlefield 3 runs at 30 frames per second on consoles and at 60 on PC but we wont know for sure till we see the finished product in October.
– "Battlefield 3 remains smooth on PS3, with a steady framerate and slick character animation. The game looks good, don't get me wrong, but with so many elements missing from the build, it's difficult to discern how the framerate will handle the complexities of bigger maps, buildings falling, jets dropping bombs and helicopters tearing through the skies"
