A few months ago at CES 2011 Sony demoed a Personal HD/3DTV, all bundled up into the form factor of a head mounted system. During its first demo the device was just prototyped without plans of sale however, Sony has announced that the device will now be released at a later time in 2011 with the title of the Sony Personal 3D Viewer or HMZ-T1.
The Device features 2 OLED displays and can view in both 2D and 3D in high def, displaying games as well as TV and Movies. The 2 Screens pull off a 45 degree viewing angle and simulate the size of a 750 inch theater screen. Its 5.1 surround sound headphones have 5 different modes; Game, Movie, Music, TV, and Standard. The system itself looks really awesome but at the price of $800.00 dollars I wouldn't expect it to sell in large numbers.
