Thanks to our friends over at EME, (En Masse Entertainment) a few of the gamerDNA staff had an opportunity to participate in the Tera closed beta. I (Kaubs) can say that it was a fantastic experience and I really look forward to the game. We set up Friday evening to play in a group and attempt to get as much of the full experience as possible. IMO the visuals were outstanding!

The game plays more like a FPS than the traditional tab target MMO or RPG, which is what drove me to it in the first place. Spells sort of lock on your target if you hover over them with your reticle while casting. Combat is fairly quick paced and there is not much downtime needed between attacking MOB's. Group play makes questing much easier in the early levels than solo play, although I never got the feeling that solo was too terribly difficult. There will be an open beta from April 19-22, you can take a look at their beta schedule here. Also, if you preorder the game, you will automatically get access to all 5 closed beta tests, the first of which started last weekend.
