It’s the silence before the storm of switching to GamerDNA FULL TIME:
NEW STUFF
- Remove References to “guildcafe” from all rails / php files. Centrally locate them.
We went through the site and turned everything that said “Guildcafe” into “GamerDNA” so that on the day we cut over we can simply change it in a single place, and all places in the site will update. See the company blog for more information, but short version – the switch to GamerDNA.com and the new version of the site is happening NEXT WEEK!
- Notify Player of new Gamer Experience comments
We added simple email notification if you receive a comment on a gamer experience.
- Add ability to browse achievements on user profile.
Added ability to browse achievements/challenges on the gamerDNA profile page.
- New Gamerdna.com homepage
A new gamerDNA homepage has been added. This will be the new launch page to help explain the new position of the site.
- Make Image Upload support a 3MB limit to support high-res screen shots.
Increased the size of image upload limit from 1MB to 3MB to allow for higher res screen shots.
FIXES
Loading message added to gamerDNA panel to explain the state a little better. It will get a full design treatment shortly.
Fixed an issue that was preventing the Experiences list page from loading correctly.
Fixed an issue that was causing the event calendar to not display in IE7 for event scheduling.
Fixed an issue where IE7 was crashing for the beta site on most of the guild pages. In general, we corrected many areas that were causing crashes in IE7.
Fixed an error that was causing the shoutbox to crash.
Fixed an error that was preventing Fame history to display.
Fixed an issue in the Xfire screen shot capture.
Typo correction in call to action for experiences.
Fixed an error that was happening in user activity feeds when clicking certain links.
There was a problem with some javascript that was preventing friend invites in Internet Explorer. We fixed it.
Fixed the width of the member_home and member profile pages to respect page width correctly in Firefox 3.
Fixed an issue where links on the game pages to more experiences was causing errors. The links now work.
Fixed an issue where the form wasn’t validating correctly when creating new guilds or joining guilds.
We changed how the narratives are voiced. Instead of referring to the user as “they” it is now talking to “you” directly… giving you an opportunity to respond to the GamerDNAbot questions via the embellishment.
Fixed an issue with the Guild themes that was making the buttons in the guild forums hard to read.
Cleaned up some narrative grammar and punctuation issues in the auto-generated entries.
