The Morning After: TF2 Community Night

Monday, September 8th, 2008 | gamerDNA Life

I’m writing this fresh after gamerDNA.com’s really fun Team Fortress 2 community night.  It was a great time, and I’d like to thank all of the people who showed up for the event. The server was packed to the brim for almost four hours.

Now, there a lot of great observations that were made during the course of the event, but here are a few that stood out:

  • Saying "This server is brought to you by gamerDNA.com" at the start of every map is totally worth it.
  • Using the "!rtd" command to roll the dice and earn a random positive or negative bonus can lead to some really interesting situations (can anyone say "TimeBomb!"
  • Sentry guns are annoying.
  • Spies are more annoying.
  • I (Imran) cannot snipe for the life of me.
  • Roxianna and other Section One members always prove to be a formidable force…in every game they play.
  • If you don’t know the Fresh Prince of Bel Air theme, you’re no where near as cool as [b3d]misery (snowphoenix).

Once again, I want to thank everyone for showing up to the event, and look out for other community events in the very near future!

CoD4 for the PC? I'm in, perhaps I can make that work!
  • Yes sir Sensational, I'm getting the server going as I write this.
  • New desktop arriving tomorrow, I'm down for whatever you guys throw next! (But hopefully more TF2)
