December 23rd Release Notes

We managed to sneak out a build right before Christmas… our last of the year. (Next one is Jan 5th). The coolest feature in it was the new custom member headers that come with a matching dynamic signature. Here is what it looks like:

General Changes/Enhancements

Customizing your header is now a quick link in your member drop-down. Click your name when logged in to see the member drop down.
Eliminated two un-needed CSS files that handle modals and merged them into existing files.
Built a trait widget for the game and user pages that shows the most popular traits for that person or game.
Game stories now show up on game pages when they are the result of embellishments off auto-entries.
Cleaned up the list of gamerDNA players on the game pages to rely on more consistent rules for displaying the latest gamers.
On the quiz widget results pages, signature examples now appear correctly.
Moved some inline styles to the correct css files.
You can now use BBCODE in the site forums to link to user profiles. [profile]ChangeAgent[/profile]. Give it a try!
Fixed a missing javascript file that was causing issues in the forum.
Fixed a bug where some borders were missing on the profile pages.
Cleaned up some release dates in the system to prevent blank games from showing in the discovery system
Due to some rewrite rule issues, avatars were not showing up on the quiz landing page in some instances.
Repaired some situations where the quiz widget was blanking out the dynamic quiz signature results.
Cleaned up how the quiz results display on the quiz results page to fit all of the result descriptions on one like (Studio Musician, Shock Trooper, etc)
Game matches were not showing for the new music quiz. This has been repaired.
Fixed a silent error that would sometimes happen when saving a friendship.
The number of quizzes shown in the member profile header now correctly display a max of 5 quizzes.
We are now properly preventing member names that start with a dash.
When submitting a user quote, some blank space was appearing above the quote. The space has been removed.
Fixed some layout issues on the game list pages.
Fixed a small issue in Group directory search that was sometimes causing an error.
Fixed an issue where the platform was appearing twice on the games page.
The "hot" link in the news section was broken and redirecting to the homepage. This has been repaired.
Repaired some problems where the warhammer sig generator was pulling the wrong class information in some cases.
Discovery results are now showing the abbreviated platform which matches how we display platform in the rest of the product.
Fixed an issue where the Knight of the Blazing Sun class was too long to fit correctly on the signature.
Cleaned up some exception errors that were happening in the social media system (that sends out Tweets).
In the recruiting search engine, the emblems have been removed due to inconsistent usage.
When clicking the middle mouse button in chrome on the member navigation drop down, the link now behaves correctly.
Prevented some situations where the game-typeahead was showing a horizontal scroll bar.

Group Hosting Changes/Enhancements

Adding some performance logging to the guild pages to help win the battle against slow response times.
Continued tracking down and removing duplicate javascript files in the guild sections.
Cleaned up the guild application form.
Added the game type ahead to the forum headline feature in group hosting.
Repaired support for the image gallery in the Guildcafe Modern theme.
Fixed an issue where there was extra space being added to the guild themes with a liquid layout.
Corrected some CSS bugs in IE7 for the Age of Conan theme.
Cleaned up the IE7 Age of Ownage theme.

Member Profile Changes/Enhancements

You can now choose custom backgrounds for your member header.
Any WotLK badges now appear on the member’s badge page on their profile.
Created 47 background images for the member sigs.
Created a new member profile sig that uses custom backgrounds.
Built out a configuration page that allows you to configure what your new member sig image and custo header look like.
Fixed a bug in the ordering of Recent Games in your member profile header.
Repaired some flicking in the customize & share tabs of the DNA header.
Cleaned up some borders on the member profile homepage.
Cleaned up the badges page with cleaner instruction text.
Cleaned up some design in the watchlist on the member homepage.
Line breaks are now preserved when editing descriptions for images.
Fixed an issue where the respect pop-up was appearing underneath the profile header.
