Thanks to our friends over at EME, (En Masse Entertainment) a few of the gamerDNA staff had an opportunity to participate in the Tera closed beta. I (Kaubs) can say that it was a fantastic experience and I really look forward to the game. We set up Friday evening to play in a group and attempt to get as much of the full experience as possible. IMO the visuals were outstanding!

The game plays more like a FPS than the traditional tab target MMO or RPG, which is what drove me to it in the first place. Spells sort of lock on your target if you hover over them with your reticle while casting. Combat is fairly quick paced and there is not much downtime needed between attacking MOB's. Group play makes questing much easier in the early levels than solo play, although I never got the feeling that solo was too terribly difficult. There will be an open beta from April 19-22, you can take a look at their beta schedule here. Also, if you preorder the game, you will automatically get access to all 5 closed beta tests, the first of which started last weekend.

I am Clayton Ballentine, most people call me Cap or Captain. (GamerDNA username is CPT-America-336) I am a technology and entertainment reviewer and I have been given the remarkable opportunity to team up with GamerDNA.com to bring you technology and entertainment reviews. My father was a law enforcement officer for over 20+ years and then when he retired in 2011 a Charlotte based online news agency contacted him about doing online law enforcement related articles. This got me into journalism and I decided to do what I love, gaming. So I thought about combining Journalism and Gaming, and so what did I get, video game reviewer. From that I decided to increase my trade and go into technology and entertainment reviewing. Currently I am a freelancer, but GamerDNA has been kind enough to let me review for them. Follow these directions to join our vent server

1. Install vent from www.ventrilo.com

2. Click the arrow by username and enter your gamerDNA username.

3. Click the arrow by server and enter the following server settings:

     Hostname: gamerDNA.guildvent.net

     Port:5869

4. Click connect!

5. Double click channel 1 to join it and introduce yourself! Can't wait to see you guys on!

gDNA is proud to host a Skyrim Launch Event! This is a Community event where anyone who participates on any level has a stab (pun intended) at the grand prize!

The goal of the event is to reach 1,111 achievements across the community via Steam or Xbox Live. Members who earn an achievement before the goal of 1,111 achievements is reached, will be entered into a drawing towards the grand prize!
