Notch announce a new mob on his Minecraft blog today but I will warn you now it may be more fun to experience this mob first hand before you read about it, so before you continue on think about it for a moment.
Will PlayStation Vita be Released in October 28th?
This update from IGN tells of a possible release date for the PlayStation Vita. The post talks of a Blockbuster advertisement in the UK that shows release dates for both versions of Vita (See Below)
If you have ever played a game on PC and then on console you can clearly see the difference between the two. More frames per second and higher texture resolutions make the PC a great system for gaming but at a much higher price than their console counterparts. When we have seen gameplay footage of Battlefield 3 it has always been from a PC, that is until now. IGN got their hands on battlefield 3 for PS3 and this is what they have to say on the subject matter–
— "Battle remains intense on the console, and the action fun. As expected, Battlefield 3 on PS3 doesn't look as good as its PC counterpart — but it was surprising to see the degree of difference between the versions."
Its been confirmed that Battlefield 3 runs at 30 frames per second on consoles and at 60 on PC but we wont know for sure till we see the finished product in October.
– "Battlefield 3 remains smooth on PS3, with a steady framerate and slick character animation. The game looks good, don't get me wrong, but with so many elements missing from the build, it's difficult to discern how the framerate will handle the complexities of bigger maps, buildings falling, jets dropping bombs and helicopters tearing through the skies"

Notch just let out an interesting bit of information regarding raising the height that blocks are generated to. Also in a post showing this higher land generation a small new piece of UI was shown at the bottom of the picture.
In the UI there is a new bar that resembles an experience bar and a bar showing drum sticks (perhaps a leveling system and easier healing system?). Anyway aside from the little hint at 1.8 Adventure Update below is a copy of Notch's post on his blog.

A recent study from retrevo shows how a whole third of iPhone users think that they have 4G when in fact Apple doesn't even offer a 4G phone yet. Its not just iPhone owners, Android and BlackBerry users are also suffering the same confusion. The study shows that 24% of tested BlackBerry phone owners believed that they had 4G where just like Apple and 4G phone isn't even supported yet. With all tested Android users 29% of them believed they had 4G when they did not. At least with Android someone guessing could answer right because Android does have available 4G phones.
Its a little startling to see the amount of confusion surrounding the 4G network, the study shows how it could impact the sales of these 4G phones and also shows how the public perceives them. Almost a third of users think that the 4G data plan is too expensive. 40% of iPhone users say that they will buy the next phone even if it does not support 4G this is saying much more than Androids 8% and BlackBerry's 23%.

Not long ago there had been rumors about Apples next iPhone, having a complete redesign and also including a Prepaid model. As time has rolled on it seems that within a few months these new iPhones and even a new iPad are to be released.
A DigitalTimes report says that “Taiwan-based companies included in the supply chain for iPhone 5 and iPad 3 have begun to prepare materials for the production of the two devices,” and that they “likely to make their debuts in September and to hit the market in October, according to industry sources.” A number of manufacturers have become prepping for the new Apple iPhones and the recently added iPad 3.
The new features will include a thinner/lighter frame and a 250ppi resolution screen. [IGN Gear]
