Managing Group Forums

Your forums are a very important part of your group on gamerDNA. They allow you to modify many parameters of your forums including the way they’re arranged, the names of the forums, the pairing of forums with news headlines for certain games, and the order in which they are displayed on your site. To begin working with your forums:

  1. Log in to the guild management interface by clicking the Manage link on the guild navigation menu.
  2. Click the Forums tab to open the Forum Configuration page. Clicking the Forums Tab
  3. From within the Forum Configuration section you can rename each of the forums by clicking the Rename button next to any of the forum names, change the Access Level of the forum to restrict the forums to certain user groups (such as creating an "Officers Only" forum for private discussion amongst the group leadership. You can also change the Order of the forum by assigning numbers to a certain forum. The lower the number, the higher the forum will be displayed in the forums index. Finally, you can adjust the Associated Headlines option to select a game to associate that specific forum with so that the latest news about that game submitted to gamerDNA are replicated on the forum site. 4. In the Add Forum section, you can add a new forum to your group while also specifying a name, Acess Level, and Order. Once you’ve set all the appropriate parameters, hit the Add button to add the forum to your group site. Adding a Forum
  5. If you would like to delete a forum, set the Access Level to closed, Apply the Changes, and then delete the forum from the newly displayed Delete Closed Forums section by clicking Delete.
