DEVELOPERS
GamerDNA’s Helix API allows you to plug-into games, gamers and the experiences that connect them.
Using Helix is easy:
- It is RESTful, uses simple XML
- Full documentation
- Lots of code samples
Are you part of a game community site
You can give your community more reasons to come to (and never leave) your site by pulling in content about the specific games they play.
- Get latest tweets about a game. Your users see the outside world without going there.
- Get latest images about a game.
- Display the games your members have been playing in their profile.
You can fetch or create: posts/reviews, images, game_activity for any member or game.
Are you a game developer
Connect with your users by posting images about your game (classic artwork, wireframes, insider’s views) and then track how the images are shared through the blogosphere/internet social graph using our viral asset tracking.
- See documentation for instructions on posting images to games or existing gamerDNA members.
Make it easy for your gamers to share their experiences about your game (images, blog posts, auto tweets, etc)
- Let your users tell the world how much fun they had playing a game, right from your site.
- Have your game post into Helix’s game activity feed ( which is added to their gamerDNA and also auto-tweeted if user set it up. )
Are you a gamer that can code?
Jump into the documentation and do things like:
- Show off the proof that you played 6 games in one day.
- Win a bet that more people tweet about Sims-3 than Rock Band.
- Are an awesome numbers geek that likes to track game play trends?
Check out the getting started section of the documentation, start with one of the samples or roll your own. Add a little formatting, maybe some CSS and bake.
Send us a link to your Helix App and we’ll feature it for our community!
